Affen is loyal, lively, affectionate towards its family members but can be very cautious of strangers and is always prepared to protect its home and family. Its protective and aggressive nature makes him a good watch dog. It is a very active pet but get bore very quickly. This is not a good pet for families with young children. It needs proper training to be disciplined and get along with the children.

This active dog gets all its exercise done just by playing indoors. Occasional walk is sufficient to keep him healthy both physically and mentally.
