Affenpinscher Description:The Affenpinscher (Affen) is a balanced small dog with characteristics of a terrier. It has a thick and wiry coat, longer hair on its face and the undercoat is slightly curly. It has a square body, an undershot jaw, a short nose and prominent rounded black eyes.
Affenpinscher was originally developed as farm dog, used to be in barns and stables to control the rats. It is one of the most agile dogs.
Affenpinscher is very alert, gentle, intelligent, loyal and affectionate dog suitable for an apartment or small home without a yard. They are very active indoor and not comfortable in very warm environments.
Affen is loyal, lively, affectionate towards its family members but can be very cautious of strangers and is always prepared to protect its home and family. Its protective and aggressive nature makes him a good watch dog. It is a very active pet but get bore very quickly. This is not a good pet for families with young children.
